DOE BETO Announced Funding to Accelerate SAF Technologies
   

The Department of Energy's (DOE) Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) announced $2.5 million in funding, with an industry match of $2.5 million, for four projects selected from the Base Annual Appropriations Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF). Two of these projects are focused on SAF technologies:

Oak Ridge National Laboratory - $900,000
• Sustainable Aviation Fuel from Cellulosic Ethanol – in partnership with Gevo, Inc., Englewood, Colorado

Argonne National Laboratory - $154,000
• Scaling up Arrested Methanogenesis Technology for Sustainable Aviation Fuel Production – in partnership with Great Lakes Water Authority, Detroit, Michigan; University of Illinois Chicago, Chicago, Illinois; and Sulzer Chemtech USA, Inc., Humble, Texas.
