Fulcrum Completes Construction on Sierra BioFuels Plant

July 20, 2021 — Fulcrum BioEnergy has announced they have completed construction of their biofuels plant in Reno, Nevada. The Sierra BioFuels Plant will annually convert 175,000 tons of prepared municipal solid waste (MSW) into approximately 11 million gallons of zero-carbon syncrude. The syncrude will then be converted to fuels such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Since construction is complete and the commissioning has begun, it is expected that the plant will begin production during the 4th quarter of 2021.
