February 16, 2021 — Qantas and bp have announced a collaborative partnership on projects regarding advanced sustainable fuels, renewable power, and carbon management. Their main goal is to work together on opportunities to reduce carbon emissions and continue development of Australia’s sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) industry. bp’s global capabilities and skills paired with Qantas’ sustainability and environmental strategy, including to be net carbon neutral by 2050, will help the duo identify opportunities and project areas to further their advocacy of SAF and de-carbonization in the aviation sector.
