February 12, 2020 – Shell Aviation and World Energy have announced that they have initiated the supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to the Lufthansa Group at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The Lufthansa Group plans to use the SAF on three intercontinental flight routes from SFO to Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich. The announcement is part of a long-term collaboration between Shell Aviation and World Energy to develop a scalable supply of SAF.
