October 11, 2019 – Air France has announced its commitment to offset 100% of CO2 emissions from domestic flights starting in January 2020. Air France has also committed to reducing CO2 emissions by 50% per passenger per kilometer as compared to 2005 as a new objective for 2030. These commitments are in addition to the airlines other sustainability initiatives including introducing a new selective waste sorting program on board flights to Paris to increase recycling rates and eliminating all single-use plastic items from flights from the end of 2019.
